Confirmation letters to the bishop

Confirmation letters to bishop are written by the candidates who want to complete their baptismal vows. Confirmation letters are written by individuals and they are required to follow a specific order & protocol while writing this letter. Confirmation can be considered as a sacrament that completes the baptism process for a candidate and he receives a holy spirit, but it cannot be completed until a candidate states in public that his /her faith is important for him /her respectively in front of a bishop.

However, bishop cannot conduct this process for a candidate until he / she first write a letter to bishop to express their desire to be confirmed. Before a bishop can perform the confirmation rite, he needs a written request from the candidate.

In a confirmation letters to bishop a candidate is required to mention how the candidate was influenced by baptism and how he /she came to the Christ. The candidates are required to contain the specific information like the name of the candidate, his introduction, the mention of his /her sponsor etc. the candidate is also required to name his parish in the letter and needs to mention that he /she is seeking the sacrament of his /her own will.
